About ILED E-Science

ILED E-Science is an independent publication that explains the science and engineering behind emerging technology. We cover artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and privacy, blockchain infrastructure, computing hardware, and modern software — with a simple editorial test: is there real engineering underneath the headline? If yes, we explain how it works.

The name

"ILED" nods to research on inorganic light-emitting diodes historically associated with this domain — technology that turns electricity into light. We kept the name because it describes what we try to do editorially: shed light on complex technology. Hence the tagline, Illuminating Emerging Technology.

How we work

Every article is written and edited by people. We use no auto-generated content, we label sponsored placements clearly, and we publish our standards in full in our editorial policy and sponsored content guidelines. When we get something wrong, we correct it and note the correction.
